Grayson Carlyle

Founder of the mercenary command known as the Gray Death Legion. Known for his innovative battlefield tactics. Pioneered the use of anti-BattleMech infantry. Died in 3065 of cancer. In 3028, on the eve of the Fourth Succession War, Carlyle's Gray Death Legion discovered the Helm Star League Library Core on planet Helm in the Free Worlds League. Carlyle is acknowledged as the Father of 31st century Warfare due to his ability to use combined-arms tactics to great effect. Grayson revieved an injury during an attempted assasination on himself that prevented him from puloting a mech any longer. Grayson's wife provided him command of a group of power armored soldiers in the Gray Death Legion called Carlyle's Comandoes the name of his father's mercenary command.

Grayson's personal mechs were generally captured in action initially starting with a Locust captured from Lori Kalmar, then acquiring a Shadowhawk, then a Mad 5K Marauder. The circumstances leading to his piloting a Victor are unkown at this time.

He married Lori Kalmar and they had a son, Alexander, together.
