Overview[edit]
John Mather was an officer who served within the Carnwath Militia during the thirty-first century. When the militia was deployed forward from Carnwath to garrison the world of Sabik after Sabik had been liberated by allied coalition forces as a part of Operation SCOUR, Mather was serving as a Colonel within the militia.[1]
On Sabik, Mather was the commanding officer of the deployed militia forces, who concentrated on rebuilding efforts while the Ninth Sword of Light guarded the Blakist prisoners of war and took responsibility for planetary security. In early 3077 Mather filed a report with the Lyran intelligence services alleging that he and the militia had observed the Ninth Sword of Light forces committing atrocities against their prisoners.[1]
