Overview[edit]

The John Paul II Square Massacre (04 April 2768) on Terra was the intentional killing, by the mercenary unit Greenhaven Gestapo, of over 600 Pauline fathers in the John Paul II Square. The hermits had been protesting the ill treatment of the Vatican by the Rim Worlds Republic forces.[1]

Author Clyde Cutler postulated that the recorded removal of several of the bodies by the Vatican to the (reportedly) Federated Suns was an attempt to hide the Church's most precious resources and historical objects.[1]
