Kurt Blakadar was an officer with the Northwind Highlanders.
History
Kurt enlisted into the Northwind Highlanders and rose to the rank of Major, commanding a battalion on Stirling's Fusiliers. On that regiment, under Major McFranklin's command, the unit become too little specialized. By 3058, McFranklin's death and replacement by the former Capellan Loren Jaffray caused trouble, both to Craif and to Major Cullen Craig. Jaffray wanted to turn the regiment into a better trained one, and his complete overhaul disgusted both Majors, which complained soundly, both to Jaffray and to his superior, Andrea Stirling, resisting the changes.[1]

In 3058 Kurt was serving as the commanding officer of Stirling's Fusiliers, Second Battalion in 3058.[2]
After the campaign, the Assembly of Warriors, recognizing Kurt's contribution to the victory, promoted him and put him into Jaffray's former place, while Loren was promoted and put on command of his own regiment, the Northwind Hussars.[3]

By 3067 Kurt was a Lieutenant Colonel commanding the Fusiliers command company.[4]
