Described as a "new" pirate band when they raided Acamar on 8 January 3068, the Lafayette Legion were a pirate group formed by disgruntled House Liao expatriates from the planet Liberty (formerly Carver V). They had stolen a JumpShip and several DropShips and begun raiding border worlds in the Chaos March and the Federated Suns' Draconis March, with a focus on former Capellan Confederation worlds.[1][2]
Elements of the Third Dismal Disinherited engaged and defeated them on Liberty at the end of December 3067.
