History[edit]
Formation[edit]
The unit was created from several smaller units in 2850 and saw first combat during the defense of the world Ling against Marik forces. The Orloff Grenadiers suffered some losses from the ground strikes of the Fusiliers' fighter unit.
In 2948 the command fought first against the Marik defenders on Berenson and later against the Federated Suns forces over Lee. Another large engagement was the battle against a Marik unit at Ingersoll.[1]
4th Succession War[edit]
In the 4th Succession War. the 3rd battalion saw significant action on Tybalt, where only 1 company escaped that was later destroyed on Kawich where they took part in Operation RIPOSTE. The 1st & 2nd Battalions later became part of the 1st Republican.
