Description & History

Designed as one of the first LoaderMechs created in the Free Worlds League by Atrean Robotics. The Patron was designed to ammunition reloader for the League's first BattleMech design, Icarus. The Industrial 'Mech was high successful as logicistic support role for Icarus II, which propelled Atrean Robotics into expanding production facilities to sixteen worlds in the League.

After phase out of the Icarus II, more general purpose model of the Patron enter service replacing the Icarus specialized models. Few specialized models being found in various museums in the League. The Succession Wars did not boded well Atrean Robotics, and went out business from destruction, resulting the Patron faded away.

In turbulent times of the Jihad, Graham-Davis Enterprises resumed production of the ancient Industrial 'Mech back in its factory on Tamarind. The newly built Patrons been utlized with Marshal Photon Brett-Marik lead Duchy of Tamarind/FWL-military forces fending against the Lyran & WoB assaults by 3074.

The 'Mech reappearance became source of hope for House Marik's people. As a holovid of one the 'Mech was once again seen servicing newly built Icarus IIs in the field.

Capacities

The 15 ton 'Mech utilizes its hand actuators to lift ammunition racks into BattleMechs. To help it move equipment and ammunition around, it equipt with Lift Hoist mounted in its right torso. It was also equipt with Spayer its main body, cool down overheated BattleMechs returning from the field. It carries .87 tons of Insulation liquid for the sprayer in its cargo bay. It has been optimized for night operations by having a Searchlight mounted on its left torso.

The 'Mechs power plant, Fuel Cell powered Vlar 30 rated engine is capable of moving 'Mech at 32 kph.

Variants

• Patron (Prototype)- The first prototypes of the design first premiered with the original Icarus first used primitive technology. The 'Mech components were heavier. The prototypes featured primitive cockpit & less effective engine. The 'Mech lacked Search Light, & Sprayer/cargo bay found on modern variants. The prototype design was specialized to service only the Icarus II only.
