The Rama Sita was a JumpShip with a long history of service to the Federated Suns and, before that, the United Hindu Collective. Originally maintained by the navy of the United Hindu Collective - which was in turn responsible for the support and maintenance for the entire of the Collective's JumpShip fleet - the Rama Sita became a part of the Federated Suns navy after the Collective was peacefully integrated into the Federated Suns over the years between the signing of the Basantapur Treaty in 2540 and the end of the Star League Era.[1]
Surviving the tumultuous era known as the Succession Wars, the Rama Sita continued to serve as a part of the Federated Suns navy, and the centuries-old JumpShip was one of those which would serve as a part of Operation BULLDOG, traveling all of the way to the Clan Smoke Jaguar world of Huntress.[1]
