Unit Description

A Mercenary unit formed from remains of Draconis Combine Mustered Soldiery s 10th Ghost Regiment.

History

Formation

Formerly known as 10th Ghosts, the Yakuza staffed unit had been dispatched to beseiged world of Dieron, in help fight off Word of Blake Forces March, 3068. The 10th Ghost's Commanding Officer, Tai-sa Samuel Noda had rally to save the unit's executive office and his wife Chu-sa Gretchen Noda but he himself was killed. The Unit had recived orders in June to head to Quentin.[1] Gretchen took command of the unit, the unit remained on Quentin for two years. Feeling that DCMS had committed number of egregious sins against them, they decided to go went rogue and become mercenaries in 3070.

The remaining survivors of the unit, banded together to form the Ronin, with Gretchen as its commander.[2]

War against the Blake

During the war, the unit rebuilt itself from a hidden cache of supplies located on the scorched world of Rezak’s Hole in 3071 was able build its strength to battalion size.[3] The unit became employed by Chandrasekhar Kurita through being hired by the Star Corp. In course of service with Star Corp, their Tai-sa Gretchen developed a reprutation of being a hothead commander and a contract breaker.[4]

Information on the unit current strength and what it consists of is unclear. As of this writing, the unit has no profile highlighing its strength and weaknesses.

It not assumed that the unit's Force Abilities when they were the 10th Ghost are still in affect.

Originally, The Ronin appeared in Dark Age by WizKids as one of the random mercenary units added to the Battletech universe in 3130s.
