I apologize for my incorrect post, I wasn't aware that the Striker from BattleTech was published 10 years before the [[w: Stryker]] in real-life was first fielded. That could have been a coincidence, but if the engineers behind the Stryker were fans of BattleTech, then I wouldn't be surprised.
