An unregistered IP added claims that VWE is no longer in Good Standing with the State of Michigan. Since this statement was unverified and with no references, explanation or context given I have removed it. And even if it should be accurate, I'm unsure about the value and notability of this particular information in a BattleTech context. :: A different unregistered IP added in that the company is not in good standing again this morning. I have a feeling that somebody has some kind of issue with the company, only reason I can see for making these additions. In itself I find the whole thing a bit bizarre. If we where having attacks on the Piranha Games article I would understand.--Dmon (talk) 02:36, 28 July 2019 (EDT)

The "not in good standing" comment was back, and I have removed it again. From what my internet research tells me, "good standing" is ultimately of little relevance, and "not in good standing" can be because of a minor issue like not paying fees for renewing a registry. That isn't a BattleTech issue and has no place on this wiki. And it is also barely noteworthy in any case. Frabby (talk) 06:41, 22 December 2020 (EST)

:Thank you for that Frabby, I was a bit busy yesterday so intended to come back to it. As you likely saw I have decided to protect this article since it seems to attract an unusual amount of unregistered IP attention. :Currently reading AoR myself actually, only upto chapter 20 though. I can't recall any other in-universe references to VWE but we know both the cartoon and Battletechnology magazine are also in-universe media so I am not suprised VWE are in there.--Dmon (talk) 22:44, 17 March 2020 (EDT)

Comment[edit]

I played in these back in 1994, in Las Vegas, NV. I spent two weeks in the city with the USAF. 12 out of 14 days I was in the Battletech sims! — The preceding unsigned comment was posted by Porshadoxus (talkcontribs) on 4 January 2013.

Good Standing[edit]

An unregistered IP added claims that VWE is no longer in Good Standing with the State of Michigan. Since this statement was unverified and with no references, explanation or context given I have removed it. And even if it should be accurate, I'm unsure about the value and notability of this particular information in a BattleTech context. Frabby (talk) 05:51, 18 June 2018 (EDT)

I definitely agree with you. The view should be as neutral and cited as possible, especially since it's in a real world context.--Revanche (talk|contribs) 09:00, 18 June 2018 (EDT)

In-Universe Counterpart[edit]

Was reading Assumption of Risk when I saw a mention of VWE in Chapter 22 - cited by Victor as a speedy holovid producer. Has anybody else seen in-universe references aside from No Limit? Cyc (talk) 22:33, 17 March 2020 (EDT)

Currently reading AoR myself actually, only upto chapter 20 though. I can't recall any other in-universe references to VWE but we know both the cartoon and Battletechnology magazine are also in-universe media so I am not suprised VWE are in there.--Dmon (talk) 22:44, 17 March 2020 (EDT)
