A mistake?

It really seems like the way that this academy was only ever mentioned in MWDA pilot card and doesn't even get a "oh they turned it into a museum" like the Invincible got in FM:3145 makes me wonder if its inclusion was some kind of mistake.— The preceding unsigned comment was posted by 73.240.128.104 (talk • contribs) .

It could be a mistake, but it could also just be a case of it not having been mentioned because there is so much to mention. The sheer size of the BT universe is both a strength and a weakness for the writers.--Dmon (talk) 02:39, 7 October 2020 (EDT)

I don't think that "too much to cover" really lines up in 3145, considering the LC only has four operational academies (MSMAB, Buena, Nagelring and Coventry). Given the dire situation and that so much of the LC's hopes were pinned on Arc-Royal staying secure, you'd think it would have at least made the list of schools that were graduating new pilots.— The preceding unsigned comment was posted by 73.240.128.104 (talk • contribs) .

That is a very good point, I had not taken the much reduced size of the LC into consideration when I answered. Weirdly though my second statement still stands, with the size of the BT lore , odds on that the mistake is not the inclusion of the WCoT but rather who ever wrote FM:3145 not knowing about that obscure little bit of lore tucked away on a MWDA card.--Dmon (talk) 17:48, 7 October 2020 (EDT)

"This was never mentioned before" is not a viable argument though, except perhaps to argue that the subject matter is apparently not considered particularly noteworthy within the BattleTech universe - see Aurigan Reach space. Frabby (talk) 02:58, 8 October 2020 (EDT)

The events that the pilot cards describe which led to its reformation on Arc-Royal, where the Wolves and Lyrans team up against the Falcons, also never really seem to have materialized. Given the way MWDA never showed real interest in the FWL, maybe the Alaric plot was originally something different?
