History
The Star League
The Two Hundred Eighty-seventh Heavy Assault Regiment was a part of the Star League Defense Force Regular Army.
Mercenary Career
The unit did not follow Alexandr Kerensky on his Exodus in 2784 and remained behind in the Inner Sphere to work as mercenaries. Taking a contract with House Davion, they faced a surprise assault on Marduk in 2787 as part of a massive offensive by House Kurita all along the border to the Federated Suns. This resulted in chaotic and conflicting orders being issued to the defenders, the 23rd Heavy Assault Regiment pulled back from Marduk creating a gap in the front.[1]
