Biography

Little is known about Uchita Tucker other than a few mentions here and there. We do know that she was considered an Ace AeroSpace Fighter Pilot. Prior to the invasion of Stein's Folly, in an unknown year she was seriously wounded in a bad TR-7 Thrush AeroSpace Fighter crash that resulted in her receiving bionic grafts for both of her legs and her right arm.[2]

Uchita Tucker was not well liked by her fellow pilots and was often on the receiving end of taunts and bullying. Much of the bullying was due to her bionic grafts that some claimed made her more machine than human. While she never let it show, the bullying did hurt her deep inside. It was the bullying and taunting that caused Uchita to, at times, break formation and perform amazing yet nearly suicidal maneuvers when on attacks to prove to her fellow pilots that she was deserving of the Ace title and to gain their respect.[3]

Invasion of Stein's Folly

In the year 3025, Davion and Liao are in open conflict, fighting battle after battle on many of their border worlds. Stein's Folly was one such border world and highly contested during the conflict. Owned by Davion, it fell victim to the seemingly never ending Liao invasion of Davion held planets.[5]

The Liao invasion of Stein's Folly began in the typical way for most planetary invasions of the time period however it began in a rather unusual way for AeroSpace fighters. Instead of being ferried from the jump point to the planet in a dropship, the AeroSpace fighters were equipped with extra large external fuel tanks and made the 10+ hour journey on their own. This allowed for the Overlord class dropships to carry extra assault force reserves, but was also extremely taxing, both physically and mentally on the AeroSpace fighter pilots.[6]

Uchita Tucker was assigned to the Liao Dagger Squadron which flew TR-7 Thrush AeroSpace Fighters. Dagger Squadron was a part of the lead squadron that was first to engage the Davion Sparrowhawk AeroSpace defense fighters. When making their descent to Stein's Folly, Uchita was the first to spot the incoming Davion defense fighters. As she had shown in the past, Unita broke ranks, despite her squadron leader's warning her not to, and began her attack on the Davion defense fighters. Peeling away from Dagger squadron she was able to take up a position that allowed her to come in behind the enemy lead fighter as it was focused on the main squadron of Liao fighters. As she came in behind the Davion lead fighter she was able to score several hits with her lasers, crippling the Davion fighter. It burned up in the atmosphere of Stein's Folly making it Uchita's 13th confirmed kill.[7]

Uchita's own Thrush fighter was severely damaged in the engagement which left her powerless and floating off into deep space. With only 1 day's worth of life support, it is unknown if she was ever rescued, but is presumed dead as the invasion of Stein's Folly is the last known engagement of the Ace Liao fighter pilot and the last existing record of her service in any military force.[8]
