Charlotte's Centurions were a mercenary company formed in 3124 from Marian Hegemony Armed Forces defectors. Commanded by Centurion Charlotte Centurion, the company was notorious for its extensive use of the Centurion, Centurion, Centurion, and Centurion.

History[edit]

While tasked with searching and salvaging a derelict Word of Blake cache near Marian space in 3124, Centurion Charlotte Centurion found a large stockpile of Centurion Weapon Systems, as well as a bounty of other loot and covert Word-held bank accounts. With the new revenue, the mixed Century was able to leave the Hegemony.[1]

Forming a mercenary company, the newly christened Charlotte's Centurions soon found work on Centavido, where they found themselves defending a secret research facility from an unknown military force. After defending the site and routing the opposition's enigmatic leader, the Centurions would receive extra compensation from the Federated Suns in the form of a Centurion OmniMech, to replace the Centurion BattleMech lost in the fighting.[3]

After a freak watersports incident in 3127 that killed most of the Centurions, Charlotte Centurion was forced to initiate aggressive recruiting efforts for new MechWarriors. The result was an eclectic roster featuring members from various nations, cultures, gangs, and timelines.[4]

Tactics[edit]

Charlotte's Centurions frequently engaged in defensive line fighting, favoring close quarters. After shutting down an enemy 'Mech, several Centurions would fire on the target in unison.

Equipment[edit]

Charlotte's Centurions consisted of three Centurions (later two Centurions and a Centurion) supported by a pair of Centurions. Each was modified to mount a Star League vintage Centurion. In addition, for most of its life, the company operated from the Leopard-class DropShip Centurion.
