Overview[edit]
In an engagement noted for the proper strategic employment of Land-Air 'Mechs, the Combine forces conducted a mobile defense and harassment campaign with two Lances of LAMs, predominately Stinger LAMs. Flying behind the Federated Suns front lines, they converted into ’Mech mode. In an attempt to hunt down the ’Mechs wrecking havoc in their rear several front-line units were pulled off the line, including elements of the Deneb Light Cavalry. When cornered, the LAMs converted into Aerospace mode and flew away. This pattern repeated for several days, pushing the invasion time table back until the AFFC admitted defeat and retreated offworld.[1]
In the formerly canon BattleTechnology magazine, the LAMs were identified as belonging to the Fourth Proserpina Hussars.
