Personal Appearance[edit]
Vassilev was a large, bear of a man.[1]
History[edit]
Solaris Gladiator[edit]
On 26 July 3135, Vassilev was traveling to Solaris VII in the JumpShip Luxor, where he met Lady Deandra Lowe. Lowe found him to be friendly and very proud of his 'Mech, about which he was happy to share information.[2]
After arriving on Solaris, Vassilev participated in the 3135 Grand Tournament for Fitzhugh Stables. He was fighting for a slot in the Grand Tournament, when in her last match he got paired against Irene Cleveland. It was a short fight of 1 minute and 34 seconds, during which Vassilev managed to get the drop on Cleveland, blasting her with every weapon on his big 'Mech. In the first round of the tournament, Boris attempted to repeat his performance in the qualifying rounds, but he was outmaneuvered and outmatched, taken down by Trisha Swanson's Scourge, a front-runner from Cenotaph Stables.[3]
Mercenary[edit]
Following his time as an Arena Gladiator, Vassilev worked as a freelance mercenary, where most employers found him to be good-natured and even-tempered.[1] Not all of the other mercenaries he worked with had the same impression however, with Gunslinger Scott Graves vowing to never work with the former Solaris Gladiator again after a mission on Alhena fighting Republic Remnant went poorly, and later holding an enduring grudge against the "manic" Vassilev.[4][5]
Vassilev later hired on with Abdoun Ricol, who also employed Graves, much to Graves' disgust.[4][5]
BattleMech[edit]
Vassilev was known to have piloted a MAL-XP-A Malice,[3] which he called Blackout.[2][1]
