Burke Carson was a Bloodnamed Clan Wolf MechWarrior during Operation REVIVAL.[2]

History[edit]

At some time prior to 3051, Burke Carson was unable to test as a warrior for six months following a leg injury in a Trial against Clan Jade Falcon.[3]

Inquisitor[edit]

When Natasha Kenensky returned to Clan Wolf as recalled, a preliminary hearing took place at the Hall of the Wolves on Strana Mechty, on 28 February 3051. This "interrogation by her peers" took place before the Wolf Loremaster, with Carol Leroux as Kerensky's Advocate and Star Commander Burke Carson as her Inquisitor. The stated purpose of the hearing was to ascertain whether there was sufficient evidence to recommend the charge of treason on Wolf's Dragoons to the Grand Council, a vote that failed among the Bloodnamed of Clan Wolf. The concern among those involved, including Phelan Wolf, Cyrilla Ward, and Kerensky herself, was that the Crusaders among the Wolves desired to sideline or embarrass the Wardens at any chance they got.[3]

Carson was described as sneering at Natasha Kerensky during the attempt to remove the Wolf's Dragoons from the Clan breeding program. This interrogation brought to light the true purpose of Wolf's Dragoons at the order of Khan Kerlin Ward, preparing the Inner Sphere for the coming of the Clans. Notably, Burke refused to answer Natasha Kerensky's challenge to him after his incredulity at her reporting of Khan Kerlin's actions, as she was not a warrior at the time.[3] He faced Natasha Kerensky as one of her opponents when she retested as a warrior alongside Phelan Wolf. (See Notes)[4]

Tukayyid[edit]

In the lead up to the Battle of Tukayyid, Burke Carson served in the BattleMech Third Star of Trinary Third Mixed Services within the Fourth Striker Cluster under Star Colonel Charles Dinour.[2]

Burke was listed as killed in action following the fighting on Tukayyid (see Notes).[2]

Physical Description[edit]

Burke Carson was described as slender, with a shaved head to facilitate neurohelmet contact.[3]

BattleMech[edit]

Carson piloted a Gargoyle OmniMech.[2]

Notes[edit]

Burke Carson was twice reported as having been killed: once in Natasha's Blooding Trial[1] and shortly after Tukayyid. Three options present themselves: one, there are two Burke Carsons, something rare among the Clans. Two, Khan Ulric Kerensky was mistaken in telling Phelan that Burke had died against Natasha. Or three, ComStar in the Wolf Clan Sourcebook was a year out of date in reporting his death, simply keeping him in their phonebook listing of Clan Wolf forces in error.
