Charles "Chuck" Stepp was a MechWarrior with the Swordsworn's Prince's Men during the Dark Age Era.[1]

Personal Appearance[edit]

Stepp was bald and had gray eyes.[1]

History[edit]

Born on Tigress, early in life Stepp lived wild, including working as a stand-up comedian, having run ins with the law and a short tempestuous marriage to famous Tigress actress Tracy Lark. From a military perspective, Stepp served with the Basalt Militia, before joining the Swordsworn following the Blackout.

A natural practical joker, who answered only to "Chuck", Stepp constantly sprouted stream-of-consciousness humor even during combat and to superiors. Despite his constant jokes about his own historical hardships not being disrespectful to others, he had lost several promotion opportunities due to them, though he remained content regarding his lot in life.[1]

BattleMech[edit]

Stepp was known to have piloted a Griffin BattleMech, serial number LC7140-41G, nicknamed "Dancing Joker". Initially built for the Lyran Commonwealth in the 3020's, this 'Mech fought in the War of 3039, the Clan Invasion and the FedCom Civil War. Upgraded during the FedCom Civil War, the 'Mech went on to defend Coventry at the start of the Word of Blake Jihad, but was captured by the Blakists during the assault. It was later reclaimed by Stone's Coalition, and absorbed by the Republic of the Sphere after the Jihad, leaving it available to be claimed by the Swordsworn after the Blackout.[1]
