Daphna Hullbright was the commanding officer of the Twenty-second Marik Militia as of 2787.[1]

Colonel Hullbright commanded the Twenty-second Marik Militia during the Free Worlds League's First Succession War offensive into the Capellan Confederation. Landing on Wazan in July 2787, Hullbright's suspicions were aroused as the defending Eighth Liao Lancers ceded significant amounts of the capital city while providing very little resistance. After ordering several aerial reconnaissance flights, Hullbright discovered the Capellan troops entrenched in textbook urban defense positions ahead of her, so perfect that she felt like she was being baited into bleeding her troops trying to take a settlement with minor strategic value to the overall League invasion. Recalling examples of Capellan death trap tactics from the Age of War, Hullbright had her forces entrench outside of the city before ordering another aerial overflight - this time carrying incendiary munitions in conjunction with heavy artillery bombardment. When the Capellan defenders rushed out of their positions to avoid being immolated, Hullbright's militiamen gunned them down, although the League officer came to believe that her victory came far too easily.[1]
Soon enough, the remaining members of the Eighth Liao Lancers began a heated resistance movement, requiring off-world League reinforcements to assist in finally eliminating the Capellan forces. When resistance was ended in November and the Seventh Oriente Hussars arrived in December, the Capellan Confederation finally sprung its trap by ambushing and destroying the League naval presence in orbit of Wazan, trapping Hullbright's troops and their reinforcements on the planet.[1]
