Derek Yi was the commander of the Second Liao Hussars, with the Capellan Confederation, as of 3145.[1]

Yi, with the Second Liao Hussars, was based on Goodna as of 3145.[1] Having been denied a role in the liberation of Liao, and officially deemed to be a junior Regiment in relation to the First Liao Hussars, the morale of Yi and the Second was considered to be low at this time.[2]
