The Goodna system was the location of at least one habitable world and as of 3151 was located in the Sian Commonality of the Capellan Confederation.[1]

The Goodna system is located close to the Cronulla and Frondas systems.[2]

System History[edit]

The Goodna system was colonized during the Star League Era at some point after the end of the Reunification War.[3][2]

Third Succession War[edit]

Goodna fell under Free Worlds League rule in 3019 when the planet was taken by the Ninth Marik Militia.[17]

Dark Age[edit]

With the Free Worlds League's dissolution in 3079 Goodna became an independent planet.[35] By the early thirty-second century, it had become part of the Oriente Protectorate.[37]

Between February and April, 3104, Goodna briefly became a battleground following Oriente's invasion of the Confederation during the Victoria War. Pursuing the Sixth Oriente Hussars from Bentley, the Death Commandos and Second Capellan Defense Force tore into the Hussars and systematically killed off their officers before the battered unit could retreat again. The planet remained in Capellan hands following the war.[42]

The database of the (apocryphal) 1989 video game MechWarrior, set around the year 3025, gives a population of 3.491 billion for Goodna and describes the environment as "tropical" (out of only three broad impressions of planetary environments given in the game, these being "desert," "ice," and "tropical"). The description one-liner reads "A planet filled with rare edible delicacies."
