Dobromila Chernik was the commanding officer of the Seventh Oriente Hussars as of 2788.[1]

Major Chernik, serving with the Seventh Oriente Hussars as executive officer, was dispatched to defend the world of Tyrfing in 2788. Fresh off of a pacification campaign on Wasat, Chernik and the Seventh Hussars were ready to defeat the four reported regiments of enemy troops attacking the Free Worlds League's territory. Unfortunately for Chernik and her men, putting down enemy holdouts on Wasat did not prepare them for the brutal fighting they would find on Tyrfing and their infantry and armor crews were killed almost to a man by chemical weapons utilized by the Twenty-third Marik Militia. After brutal BattleMech combat with the forces of the Lyran Commonwealth collapsed the Seventh Hussars' flank, Chernik took full command upon the death of the unit's commanding officer. By the time the last major engagements on Tyrfing occurred, only the hated presence of the Capellan Confederation enabled Chernik to restore the Seventh Hussars' resolve.[1]
