Dominion Over All: The Rise of the New Ghost Bear Threat

Dominion Over All: The Rise of the New Ghost Bear Threat was a 3135 non-fiction e-book by Signus Wainright, soon adapted into a fictionalized holovid directed by Alphonse Knightly with its own novelization by Wainright.[1][2]

Overview[edit]

In the initial e-book Dominion Over All, Wainright argued that the Rasalhague Dominion planned to invade the Republic of the Sphere, taking advantage of the chaos of the Blackout to complete the Clans' efforts to take Terra.[1] While his previous books, Dragon's Blade and Sword in the Stone, had seen some of their predictions bear out, there was still some skepticism of Dominion Over All. Cintus Domingo of the New Wessex Times found the sourcing thinner and conclusions shakier than Wainright's prior books in his January 3135 review, and Knight Deandra Lowe privately judged that the book only had "enough real evidence to fill a single footnote."[1][3] When challenged by interviewer Anna Crennov, Wainright pointed to the successful predictions of his first two books and the Dominion's lack of response to Dominion.[4]

Regardless, the book quickly garnered a holovid adaptation, a fictionalization directed by Alphonse Knightly, with its own novelization by Wainright. Lana Spinner starred as Jaine Tseng, a Ghost Bear leader plotting an invasion of the Republic.[2][5] By 3136, the film was banned on Savannah.[6]

Notes[edit]

  • Dark Age: 3135 PDA Journals is inconsistent about when the holovid Dominion Over All was filmed and released. The holovid was released prior to 1 February 3135,[5] filming began on 15 February 3135,[2] and the project was still a rumor by 3 March 3135.[4]
