The Fifty-fourth Mechanized Infantry Division was a part of the Star League Defense Force Regular Army.
History[edit]
In 2764, the unit was stationed on Aur,[2] assigned as part of LXI Corps, Twelfth Army to District 2 of the Lyran Commonwealth Military Region.[3] The soldier's life in the Fifty-fourth was very spartan, with only basic meals and no music or holovids allowed. Most of the newer troops transferred out after a few years but the unit's core preferred this modus operandi. However, Star League Intelligence Command suspected the division might have had a black market.[1]
The Fifty-fourth was moved to an undisclosed area of the Periphery in 2765 to take part in the Periphery Uprising. The unit went missing in action circa 2766–2769,[4] and the ultimate fate of the unit is unknown.[3]

Tactics[edit]
The Mechanized Infantry divisions of the Star League were used offensively to exploit gaps in the enemy front created by the BattleMech divisions. They also bore the brunt of defensive actions.[5]
Composition History[edit]
The Division comprised two brigades of mechanized infantry and a single BattleMech brigade. Also attached was a ground aero wing.[5]
