O'Dennell is a highly motivated officer always looking for ways to advance his career. When a leaderless lance on punishment detail came to his attention, he volunterred for the billet. After months of extensive training, the newly named Garrett's Gùns were the best infantry support lance in the 2ndMAC and were frequently detached for special duties. They were likely the lance responsible for putting down the 3144 revolt on New Hessen following its conquest.[1]
