Elder Bishop Jacob Zoroaster was leader of The Church of Future Present as of 3013.[1]

Elder Bishop Zoroaster, as a leader of The Church of Future Present, believed individuals should look after their own welfare, and that of their brethren, before the welfare of any artificial state which ruled over them. This attracted the attention of the Capellan government, and the Chancellor's wife Elizabeth Jordan, who charged the Church with supporting a subversive doctrine introduced by agents of the Federated Suns.
The outcome of the subsequent judicial inquiry, was that one in five members of this harmless sect was involuntarily exiled to a Periphery world, and its leadership including Elder Bishop Zoroaster were imprisoned on Tikonov.[1]
