Brevet Leftenant General Jara Dahar was the commander of the Fifth Syrtis Fusiliers, with the Federated Suns, from 3145.[1]
History[edit]
In response to the Capellan Confederation's invasion of the Federated Suns in 3144, Operation CELESTIAL REWARD, Dahar and the Fifth Syrtis were rushed to Royalston to help defend the front. Shortly after they had deployed however, the Fifth Syrtis were crushed by House Hiritsu and the Fourth Confederation Reserve Cavalry, and their CO Major General Jock Sergeant was killed. Taking command of the Fifth Syrtis' shattered BattleMech forces, the then Colonel used airstrikes to cover a armor breakthrough, which allowed her 'Mech units to escape from the world.[2]
Falling back to Shoreham, by late 3145 Dahar had received the rank of Brevet Leftenant General, and remained in charge of the recovering Fifth Syrtis.[1]
