Description[edit]
The Kelswa Assault Tank is a thirty-second century frontline Combat Vehicle which was produced originally in the Lyran Commonwealth. A popular tank, the Kelswa has been seen deployed throughout the armed forces of the Inner Sphere and even in some Toumans of the Clans.[4]
Weapons and Equipment[edit]
The heart of the Kelswa is its 285-rated Pitban fusion engine, being able to propel the tank to a modest 54 km/h. Protecting the heart is 12 tons of ArcShield heavy ferro-fibrous armor, with 30 percent of the tank's armor protection focused in the front.
The Kelswa's main firepower comes from its two Grizzard Model 200 Gauss rifles, which are both mounted in its turret. Backing up the Rifles are a pair of Defiance Model XII Extended Range Medium Lasers, which are mounted in the tank's front and provide valuable ammunition-free firepower, along with two turret-mounted Coventry Heavy Autogun Machine Guns. The Heavy Machine Guns' mere half ton of ammunition is stored along with the Gauss Rifles' forty rounds of ammunition in the CASE-protected body.[4]

The Kelswa Assault Tank first appeared game-wise as part of WizKids' MechWarrior: Dark Age Collectible Miniatures game as a part of the Falcon's Prey expansion set. The tank was later adapted by Catalyst Game Labs and redefined once the company advanced the game's timeline to 3145.
