Colonel Kimathi was the commanding officer of the First Canopian Fusiliers in 3020.[1]
History[edit]
The El Giza Ghost Riders mercenary unit, having broken a Free Worlds League Military contract and no longer allowed to work in the Inner Sphere, received sanctuary in the Marian Hegemony in exchange for paying tribute to Imperator Marius O'Reilly. This took the form of raiding Bethonolog in March 3020, a largely agricultural world with a planetary militia unable to stand up to them.[1]
As Colonel Kimathi and the First Canopian Fusiliers made planetfall on Bethonolog, the desperate Ghost Riders massed for an assault. Wanting to minimize collateral damage to the planet's infrastructure, the Fusiliers moved to engage them in an open field and soundly defeated them. After interrogation, the captured survivors revealed the hideout location of Captain Blackburn and the remaining leadership. While simultaneously dispersing to guard the populace and secure other assets, the Fusiliers sent a task force to successfully eliminate them.[1]
