MechWarrior Mallory was a member of Clan Wolf's Touman during the Wars of Reaving.[2]

A solahma warrior from the Sixth Wolf Garrison Cluster of Clan Wolf, Mallory would survive fighting against warriors from Clan Hell's Horses, Clan Fire Mandrill, and Clan Ice Hellion in his vintage Star League Victor C and return to the Crusader Wolves to fight again.[2]
Unfortunately for him, he would be deployed against Katherine Wolf aka Katherine Steiner-Davion during her Trial of Position to enter the Warrior Caste of Clan Wolf during the Wars of Reaving. He was waiting passively for the lighter 'Mechs to first confront Katherine's Warhawk in the Trial as per zellbrigen, when Katherine suddenly shifted her aim and decapitated his BattleMech with an alpha strike. He was killed instantly.[2]

In The Wars of Reaving, it is stated that Katherine Steiner-Davion destroyed an Ice Ferret during her Trial of Position for Clan Wolf. However, Technical Readout: Victor C in Shrapnel, Issue 6 states that she destroyed the Victor C that Mallory was piloting. As Shrapnel was printed after The Wars of Reaving, its reference takes precedence.
BattleTech: Legends clarifies this situation. There it is stated that while Katherine's first opponent in the Trial was supposed to be MechWarrior Karin piloting an Ice Ferret, but Katherine attacked the Victor out of turn in a fit of rage. As a result, some reports that reached other Clans erroneously stated that she had destroyed the Ice Ferret.[1]
