Comm Chatter: … Jade Falcon scum took out the general……Screw the rules of engagement! .. what do we do……Kill ‘em all!

DURING MISSION

Beckman: We have to get out of here. Keep your lance protecting this Mobile HQ!

David: Sir, yes sir.

Holloway: We’re moving into the city.

Holloway: They’ve got us cut off.

MechWarrior: Damn Clanners! This one’s for the General!

Clanner: Freebirth! You deserve no less!

Holloway: I’m getting some transmissions…weak…Let me see if I can boost the signal…

Radio Host: ..voice of Butler…on the air for as long…Again, fighting on the Omega Plains has devolved into a vicious free-for-all. Reports are that General Winfield is dead. That the entire Winfield Regiment has been destroyed. We’ve overheard chatter from three different officers, all claiming to be in command. Locally, at least, ComStar has declared their intention to remain neutral as long as the fighting continues to rage on. This is the voice of Butler. We’ll stay on the air for as long as we can…

Kyle: Just what everyone needs. A voice of reason and hope.

Holloway: Sensors detect multiple enemy contacts ahead.

Chatter: …is anyone able to link up with us? …heard that Colonel Armstrong…

Holloway: I’m reading enemies moving in from the southwest.

Beckman: Intercept them, Commander. Do not let them reach us!

Radio Host: This is the Voice of Butler. Fighting has spread into the city, and is escalating. No one out there is in command. The Jade Falcon invaders are firing on anything that moves on the street, but they aren’t invincible! Construction workers from the fifty-third avenue site have taken down one of those monsters they pilot with a small crew of dozers and cement mixers, ramming into the legs over and over again until it fell. Holloway: We’ll have to go through those enemies to get around the blockage.

Beckman: Stay close, Commander!

Radio Host: Hey! This is the Voice of Butler. Directing the war from Glasgow to Williamsburg, and all stations in between. The middle school on Franklin was taken out when a Jade Falcon ‘Mech walked right through the building. People’s Militia forces managed to cripple it with pipe bombs and a crop duster dropping paint. Nice job. I want all the engineers that were going to bring down the old National Bank building to take their explosives to the bridge on Second Avenue. We get some Falcons on that bridge, we can take it down for another solid victory on our side…

Kyle: I don’t know what you mean, David. This guy seems to think he’s doing very well.

David: Yeah, maybe we should put him in charge. And let’s stay away from any bridges.

Beckman: One more turn, and it’s a straight run to safety.
