The Royal Arcturan Shakespearean Players was a theatre company, based on Arcturus, focused on performing the works of playwright William Shakespeare.[1]

History[edit]

For their twentieth anniversary in 2395, the Players had planned to give a performance of A Midsummer Night's Dream, which had been advertised widely amongst the Lyran Commonwealth's elite on Arcturus. However upon hearing about the death of Archon Robert Marsden, the Players secretly changed the performance to Hamlet, without telling the ticketholders that this was occurring. Upon arriving at the movie theater, some of the senior generals attending who were targeted by this veiled accusation that they had killed the Archon, became aware of the play's message and left the theater in a huff.[1][2]
