Ryan Martin was the commanding officer of the Fourth McCarron's Armored Cavalry as of 3111.[1]

Sang-shao Martin commanded the Fourth McCarron's Armored Cavalry during the Capellan Crusades.[1] In October of 3111, Martin's Fourth MAC made landfall on the Republic world of Foot Fall, catching the garrisoned Fourth Principes Guards during a period of regiment-wide refits. Martin's MAC quickly destroyed the Principes' barracks and support facilities, hounding them all the way to the Valley of Kings. On 13 October, the Fourth Principes made a desperate stand against the elite Fourth MAC, although with half of their forces already destroyed they didn't stand for long before being completely routed and driven off-world.[2]
Martin and the Fourth MAC's next major part in the Crusades came in late 3112, when Daoshen Liao redirected several Capellan Confederation units to stop Kai Allard-Liao's vengeful counterattack into Confederation space. Unfortunately for the Capellans, when Allard-Liao finally arrived on Wei, his Fifth Hastati Sentinels were accompanied by the troops of Stone's Lament. Pushed back to Vadannis City along with the Sixth Confederation Reserve Cavalry and Warrior House Kamata, the 7 December defense of the city quickly devolved into chaos. A failed headhunter attack from Kamata warriors only succeeded in killing Allard-Liao's tactical advisor Burton Marik-Davion and the berserk rage this sent Allard-Liao and his Fifth Hastati into lead to massive damage to Vadannis City before the focused assaults of Stone's Lament drove the Capellan force into retreat.[3]
