During the defense of Wisconsin against the pirate group The Hateful Survivors Lieutenant Black commanded a lance of Koshi BattleMechs tasked with locating the pirate landing zone. After punching through the front lines her command stumbled into the Survivors' command lance; heavy and assault ’Mechs with enough ECM coverage to prevent both Black's report and disengagement. Left with few alternatives Black threw her lance into the mix with hit and fade slashing attacks which brought down three pirate ’Mechs, including the Survivors' commander. Despite this objective success, that engagement cost Black her life. Her sacrifice wasn't in vain however, other lances were able to locate the pirate DropShips and bring them artillery fire.[1][2][3]
