The Syrtis Avengers formed during the Jihad, becoming the newest unit of the Syrtis Fusiliers.

History
Since their formation in 3079, the Syrtis Avengers threw themselves into every fight they could possibly reach. The unit's BattleMech contingent would often attack the enemy before their heavy armor support had even left their DropShips. This led to the unit losing two commanders under fire.[1]
