History
Formation
The First Conroe Training Battalion was the first regional training battalion created by Hanse Davion. The graduates quickly proved the utility of the concept, going on to fill in gaps in more seasoned units in the AFFS. Most of the Conroe Training Battalion recruits come from the Bryceland PDZ, so they have a serious hatred of the Draconis Combine.[1]
Civil War
They faced Allied forces and were disarmed but later returned to service.[2]
Jihad
In 3078 the Academy Appropriations War Powers Act deactivated all the training battalion and public academy cadre units and transferred their men and machines to front-line forces. Their future is unclear.[3]
Officers
In 3025 the commanding officer is Lieutenant Colonel Harry Vasos.[4]
As of 3062 the commanding officer was Kommandant Leona Peterson.[1] She was replaced by Leftenant Colonel Tess Houen.[5]
Tactics
Like most training battalions, the Conroe Training Battalion lacked any tactical specialties.
