History
Outworlds Alliance President Mitchell Avellar initiated the Long Road Program in 3056, a sweeping series of reforms across the Alliance. As part of the Long Road Program, President Avellar received a temporary waiver from Parliament and hired mercenary companies to reinforce the Alliance Ground Defense Arm (AGDA). By 3058 the Simpson’s Sisters mercenary company were one of four mercenary commands hired and the company was stationed on Loparri. [1]
Between 3058 and 3063, Simpson’s Sisters were chosen to be the foundation unit of the 2nd Long Road Legion (2LRL) under the 4th Alliance Air Wing. The former mercenary company became the core of the Command Battalion (Bad Moons) and now Chairman Amanda Huggins was chosen as 2nd LRL Commander. 2nd Battalion/2LRL is an Armor Battalion and 3rd Battalion/2LRL is a reinforced Infantry Battalion. By 3063 the 2LRL is stationed on Lushann. [2]
In 3068, the 2nd Long Road Legion (along with the First Alliance Air Wing) supported the Swift Wing Naval Assault Star (Clan Snow Raven) raids of Enif, Galedon, and Tabayama in retaliation for the destruction of the CSRS White Cloud by the Draconis Combine. Several drop ships loaded with military hardware and technology were captured on Galedon. [3]
By 3085 the 2nd Long Road Legion was stationed on Jordan Wais (Command Battalion) and Rudolpho (2nd and 3rd Battalions). At this time the Long Road Legions are no longer under the Alliance Air Wings. [4]
In 3145 all three battalions of the 2nd LRL were stationed on Pitkin. [5]
