History
The Thirty-first Regulan Hussars were formed alongside the 30th Regulan Hussars in the years following the dissolution of the Marik-Stewart Commonwealth, but instead of dragooned mercenary lances, the Thirty-first consisted of draftees and conscripts.[1] In 3145 they were based on Wallis[2] to both train and defend the Ronin Inc plants on that world.[1]
In October 3146 the Thirty-first failed to fulfill the latter objective, as an assault by the First Oriente Hussars damaged the Regulan unit then went on to damage much of the Ronin Inc plant.[3] The Thirty-first suffered an even worse catastrophe in mid-3147; en route to reinforce the Regulan assault on the Clan Protectorate capital of Marik, the Regulan troops were attacked in the Harmony system by Clan Sea Fox's Spina Khanate. Alerted to the Regulans' destination by Clan Watch operatives, OvKhan Ike Hawker of Spina's Alpha Aimag ordered every DropShip in the Regulan flotilla destroyed, ending the Thirty-first's short service history.[4]
