Unit Description
The 5th Dieron Regulars was a 28th Century Draconis Combine House military formation which utilized principlely BattleMechs in its Touman.
History
First Succession War
Invasion of Towne
In December of 2785, the 5th Dieron Regulars lead a task force of 7 infantry and Aerospace regiments which mounted invasion of recently claimed Terran Hegemony world of Towne. The planet garrisoned by 56th Avalon Hussars and its supporting by the 123rd Aero Interceptor Wing. The Regulars invasion slowly overwhelmed the Davion forces, whom were inter-service rivals didn't quite coordinate their efforts to repulse the invasion. Davions had pleaded for assistance as Regulars overwhelmed them, but bureaucracy FedSuns delayed reinforces long enough for Regulars and its supportment to conqueror the planet for the Draconis Combine. Conquest became known as "The Towne Debacle", triggered re-organization of House Davion's military.[1]

5th Dieron Regulars (Regiment)
Notes
As of this writing The 5th Dieron Regulars have only been mentioned once in print since the FASA publications. The unit Composition is based on fact all Regular units at time were geared only have BattleMechs among it forces prior to the 31st Century. It unclear of the unit's history aside from the Towne Debachle.
