BattleTechWiki:2010 Founder's Awards

Revision as of 07:20, 3 January 2011 by Frabby (talk | contribs) (Nominations)

Please post your nominations for the various Founder's awards here for discussion. Post not only the Editor's or Admin's name, but also why you feel that person should be the awardee. Nominations will close on the 16th of January, with Nicjansma announcing after he has made his decisions. Negative responses are not solicited, as these are only for nominations.

Four out of the five Founder's Awards are up for nomination; the Founder's Consistent Service Award is completely left up to Nic. The criteria/descriptions of the awards can be found here.

Please post your nominations under the appropriate sub-heading.

Founder's Outstanding Member of the Year Award

  • I nominate both User:Revanche and User:Scaletail for providing steady, high-quality contributions. They're the two longest-serving yet still active members, clearly among the cornerstones (or is that bedrock) of this community. Frabby 11:20, 3 January 2011 (UTC)

Founder's Superior Editor of the Year Award

  • I nominate both User:ClanWolverine101 and User:Mbear for their high-quality edits. While other editors often take a quantity-over-quality approach, they created several well-researched articles and, more importantly, are among the few community members to make an effort in copyediting and improving other articles. Founder's Exceptional Ambassador of the Year Award

  • Drawing a blank here. Most registered editors here are active on CBT.com as well. The BattleTech community at large seems to be increasingly aware of BTW, and using it as a reference. Some detractors will always dismiss a wiki for being a wiki, of course, and there's no denying that the massive quantity of articles here includes some with quality issues. The best "Ambassador" for BTW, in my opinion, is he who strives to improve BTW with good quality articles and edits, to further establish it as the BT site to check for... anything BT, really. Founder's Honorable Mention Award

  • I nominate User:Nicjansma. He's running the show on the technical real-world side, provides the hosting, laid all the groundwork, and was humble enough not to nominate himself for an award so far. Frabby 11:20, 3 January 2011 (UTC)
