Jihad Turning Points: Luthien is the first mission target of the Unfinished Book project and is a test case for the Project's goals to incorporate all of the canon & official data on the Classic BattleTech universe, utilizing consistent and clear management. If you join the Project during this current mission, please bear with us as we test the best way to both bring in the abundance of information in this small title and grade the efforts of the Editors.

“ Hey, all: I'm really glad to have a team coalescing around Project: Unfinished Book (PUB). I think we can bring a lot of value to Sarna with our group efforts. Just my solitary work has really beefed up the articles that already existed and they have created a lot of new articles that would not otherwise exist without the level of detail PUB brings.

PUB works a bit different than other projects on Sarna in that the process is very methodical and controlled. Whereas in other projects, members hit what specifically interests them and generally attempt to reach a consensus on standards, each mission in Project Unfinished Book is assigned a team of members, with specific duties (as outlined at BattleTechWiki:Project Unfinished Book). The Mission Lead serves as both assignment coordinator and one of the three standard positions. He is the one that marks an assignment as fully complete.

We will work closely as a team and, as individuals, only work on one PUB assignment at a time. There will be a lot of verification of efforts and what should only be construed as 'constructive criticism'. Remember: as a project, we only have one shot at this book, because when we move on, we'll be hitting another title and won't be coming back to Jihad Turning Points: Luthien (as a team). If the intent is to ramp up the value of Sarna as an encyclopedia, then the best way is to complete the assignment before moving on to another.
