Charlie Gratum was an officer with McCarron's Armored Cavalry during the Fourth Succession War.

History
During the defense of Sarna in 3029, Charlie Gratum was part of a Support lance with the Third McCarron's Armored Cavalry under the command of Captain Karl Browne.[1]
The Fifth Syrtis Fusiliers accelerated away from their planetary invasion force and landed two days early on May 27, only to find themselves outnumbered four-to-one and faced traps, minefields, and other Capellan tricks from the local militia and McCarron's Armored Cavalry. Support elements of the Fifth, composed mostly of mercenary units, landed on schedule and went to ground to hold out as long as possible for AFFS reinforcements. Six months later, the mercenaries made their last stand at Graves Hallow.[2]
