History
The Dark Bane was a Hamilcar-class DropShip operated by the Free Worlds League as of 3055 (and thus implicitly one of the first vessels of this class which had only been introduced a year before).
A Hamilcar that was believed (but ultimately not confirmed) to be the Dark Bane was deployed in late 3055 against terrorists who had seized the L2 cargo station in the Concord system. After a brief attempt at negotiation, jump-capable BattleMechs and aerospace fighters deployed from the ship and easily seized the station and the terrorists' Mule-class DropShip.[1]
