Durant Carlyle was an officer with Colby's Commandos, a small mercenary unit in the late third succession war[1], and father of Grayson Carlyle.[2]

History
By 3019 Carlyle had become the commanding officer of Colby's Commandos which were renamed to Carlyle's Commandos. When the unit was betrayed at Trellwan in 3024 he was killed by a Marauder piloted by the mercenary Lieutenant Vallenedel.[2]
Battlemechs
In 2990 Carlyle piloted a Shadowhawk[1]. By 3019 as commander of Carlyle's Commandos he operated a Phoenix Hawk[2].
