Baroness Jade Sandowski was a member of one of the Star League Defense Force Royal Divisions, and was later rewarded with a Barony on the Terran Hegemony controlled portion of Mirach, during the time when it was jointed administered with the Federated Suns.[1]
History
In February 2766 Sandowski and her personal unit of ex-SLDF Royals the Jade's Rangers, due to misidentification arising from Federated Suns units operating under radio silence while chasing bandit raiders, accidently engaged a company from the Seventh Crucis Lancers.
In the engagement the better experienced and equipped Rangers defeated the Lancers, with Sandowski herself killing the opposing commander Captain Anthony Yarborough with a PPC shot to the cockpit of his RFL-3N Rifleman. The accidental conflict caused larger disputes between the two sides for months afterwards.[1]

Sandowski piloted an MAD-2R Marauder BattleMech.[1]
Notes
- The Seventh Crucis Lancers were officially not formed until 2784, from a Star League Defense Force unit which did not join Kerensky's Exodus.[2] It therefore is unclear if the name of the unit recorded as participating in this earlier engagement as the Seventh Crucis Lancers is incorrect, or if it is a predecessor unit of the same name.
