The seeds of Jerry's Boys lie in six-man team of traveling stunt pilots. They turned mercenary when business dried up shortly after the start of the FedCom Civil War. Michaelson Heavy Industries helped finance the purchase of six Sprint Scout helicopters for the unit as an opportunity to show off the full capabilities of the Sprint.
The unit worked for both sides during the conflict, always using their extraordinary piloting abilities to avoid detection and enemy fire both before and after tagging their targets. Only two of the Sprints ever went down during the five-year conflict.[1]
