ProfessionMechWarrior

John Hayes was a member of the Black Widow Company.[1]

History

He was a very competent MechWarrior in Wolf's Dragoons until he was charged with unauthorized looting by his commander and after that was assigned to the Black Widow Company, where Natasha Kerensky controlled him with a combination of fees for theft and bonus for gallantry in combat.[1]

He participated in all Black Widow Company engagements from 3015 to 3025.[2][3][4][5][6][7][8][9][10]

In the Battle for Dromini VI a huge mistake from a DropShip pilot ended with him launched with an incorrect angle during the drop assault and his 'Mech heavily damaged by the maneuvers he needed to save himself and his Mech. Natasha Kerensky had to stop him from killing the pilot by confiscating all his wealth and giving it to Haynes and degrading the pilot to Third Assistant Cook aboard a family transport.[1]

BattleMech

He piloted a Griffin.[11]
