Marcus Norman was a Corporal in Lola's Lights.[1]
History[edit]
Corporal Marcus Norman was aboard the Lights' DropShip during Operation SCOUR when TerraSec fighters forced it to land in the Yucatan Peninsula. With the unit out of contact they assumed they were in Word of Blake controlled territory and began raiding supply bases in order to tie down as many local defenders as possible. Coalition leadership meanwhile assumed they were destroyed. Norman's Stinger excelled at the raiding, and nearly a century later it was still used as an example of light ’Mech tactics. After seven months though, this would come to an end. On 29 January 3079 Gannon's Cannons was assigned to hunt down what were believed to be Word of Blake holdouts refusing to accept the surrender three weeks earlier. After a brief battle that killed the Lights' commander Norman and others began to surrender. It was only then that the true identities of both parties were discovered and Norman learned he had been attacking allied personnel for nearly a month. Horrified with this revelation he resigned from military service and dedicated his life to humanitarian pursuits.[1][2][3]
