His son, Jal Ward, left the Inner Sphere with Aleksandr Kerensky's Exodus.[3] He would go on to be the progenitor of the Ward bloodname.
The Ward family survived in the Inner Sphere for several generations after his death. Salome Ward, the wife of Morgan Kell and mother of Phelan Kell, was one of his descendants.
